Day Three: Faith Activates Healing
Scripture Reading: Mark 5:34 “And He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.’”
Devotional Thought:
Faith is the key that unlocks the healing power of God in our lives. Throughout the ministry of Jesus, we see countless examples of people who received their healing through faith. One such story is the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34). After suffering for 12 years, spending all she had on doctors, and growing worse, she made a bold decision: to reach out in faith and touch the hem of Jesus’ garment.
This woman believed that just one touch of His garment would bring her healing. Her faith wasn’t in the garment itself but in the person of Jesus and His power to heal. When she touched Him, the power of God flowed, and she was instantly healed. Jesus affirmed her, saying, “Daughter, your faith has made you well.”
Faith is not about striving or trying to earn healing; it’s about trusting in God’s character, His Word, and His promises. Faith doesn’t deny the reality of sickness but boldly declares the greater reality of God’s healing power. When you place your faith in Jesus and His atoning work, you position yourself to receive the healing He has already provided.
Testimony:
A man diagnosed with a debilitating illness was given little hope of recovery. Instead of giving in to despair, he immersed himself in the Word of God, meditating on healing scriptures and declaring them over his life daily. He asked for prayer and received anointing with oil at church, standing firm in faith despite how he felt. Over time, his symptoms began to diminish, and he experienced a complete healing. Today, he shares his story to encourage others to activate their faith and trust in God’s promises.
Prayer:
Father God, I thank You that healing is part of Your covenant promise. I place my faith in You and Your Word, trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, strengthen my faith and help me to focus on Your promises, not my circumstances. I declare that Your power is working in me, bringing life, restoration, and wholeness. Thank You for being my healer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step:
Take a moment to write down one area of your life where you are believing for healing. Find one scripture that speaks to this need and declare it over yourself multiple times today. Speak it aloud in faith, knowing God’s Word will not return void.
