21 DAYS TO HEALING – DAY 1: God’s Will to Heal – Psalm 103:2-3

Day One: God’s Will to Heal

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 103:2-3 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”

Devotional Thought:

Healing is not just something God does—it is part of who He is. From the very beginning, God revealed Himself as Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals (Exodus 15:26). Just as the forgiveness of sins is included in the atonement of Christ, so is the healing of our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

In Psalm 103, David reminds us to never forget all the benefits of God’s covenant. Among these benefits are forgiveness and healing. The same power that cleanses you from sin can restore your body and mind. Healing is not a mere possibility but a guaranteed provision of God’s covenant through Jesus Christ.

When Jesus ministered on earth, He healed all who came to Him in faith (Matthew 8:16-17). His actions demonstrated the heart of the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit working together to bring life, restoration, and wholeness. God’s desire for your healing is the same today because His character never changes.

As we begin this 21-day journey, open your heart to the truth of God’s Word: healing is for you today. Jesus bore your sicknesses and carried your pains so that you might walk in complete wholeness. Trust in Him and invite the Holy Spirit to move in your life, bringing the healing power of heaven into every area of need.

Testimony:

A woman once shared how she had suffered from chronic back pain for over a decade. Doctors had done all they could, but relief seemed out of reach. One Sunday morning, she felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to go to the altar for prayer. As the pastor anointed her with oil and prayed, she felt a warmth in her back and an unexplainable sense of peace. By the time she left the church, the pain was completely gone. Today, she continues to testify of God’s healing power and uses her experience to encourage others to trust in Him.

Prayer:

Father God, I open my heart to You today, thanking You for Your Word that reveals Your will to heal. I trust in Your character, Your promises, and Your unfailing love. Through Jesus’ atoning sacrifice, I receive forgiveness and healing as part of my covenant inheritance. Holy Spirit, I invite You to work in me, bringing life, restoration, and wholeness to every part of my being. Strengthen my faith and guide me in walking in the fullness of what Christ has provided. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Action Step:

Write down three things in your life where you need God’s healing touch—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Surrender these areas to the Lord in prayer today, believing in His power to heal.
