21 DAYS TO HEALING – Day 11: Healing through Worship
Day Eleven: Healing Through Worship
Scripture Reading: – Psalm 22:3 “But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.”
Devotional Thought:
Worship is a powerful key to experiencing God’s presence and His healing power. The Bible tells us that God is enthroned in our praises—when we worship, we create an atmosphere for Him to move in and move mightily on our behalf. Healing often comes not just through prayer but through the act of lifting our voices in worship and adoration to the Lord.
The Hebrew word for “enthroned” in Psalm 22:3 is “yāšab” (יָשַׁב).
Definition of “Yāšab” (יָשַׁב):
1. To sit, remain, dwell, abide, inhabit, or be enthroned.
2. It conveys the idea of a king sitting in authority on his throne, ruling and reigning.
3. It also means to take up residence or dwell permanently in a place.
Application in Psalm 22:3:
“But You are holy, enthroned (yāšab) in the praises of Israel.”
This means that God dwells, abides, and is enthroned in the praises of His people. When we worship, we create a throne or dwelling place for God’s presence to manifest. This is why worship is so powerful—it invites God to inhabit our lives and move in supernatural ways, including healing.
In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat faced an overwhelming enemy army. Instead of fighting with weapons, he sent worshipers ahead of the army to sing praises to God. As they worshiped, God set ambushes against their enemies, completely defeating them. If worship can bring supernatural victory in battle, how much more can it bring healing to our bodies?
In the New Testament, when Paul and Silas were imprisoned, they did not despair—they sang hymns and worshiped God (Acts 16:25). Their worship caused an earthquake that opened the prison doors and set them free! In the same way, when we choose to worship in the midst of sickness or pain, it shifts the atmosphere, breaks chains, and releases healing.
Healing is not always about asking—sometimes, it’s about resting in His presence, lifting up His name, and allowing His power to move in you. Worship is an act of faith that declares, “God, I trust You no matter what, and I believe You are my healer!”
Testimony:
A woman named Emily had been suffering from a mysterious illness that doctors could not diagnose. For over a year, she had severe fatigue, body pain, and dizziness. She had prayed and sought medical help, but nothing seemed to improve her condition.
One night, she was lying in bed, overwhelmed with frustration and sadness. As she reached for her Bible, she was led to Psalm 22:3, which reminded her that God is enthroned in the praises of His people. Instead of asking for healing, she decided to worship.
She played worship music softly and began to sing—slowly at first, but as she continued, she felt the presence of God fill her room. As she worshiped, she felt peace replace her anxiety, and for the first time in months, she was able to sleep through the night without pain.
Emily committed to making worship a daily part of her healing journey. Every morning, before doing anything else, she would lift her hands and worship God for at least 20 minutes. Within weeks, her symptoms began disappearing! What medical treatments couldn’t do; worship did—God’s presence brought healing to her body.
Months later, she was completely restored, and now she leads worship at her church, sharing her testimony about the healing power of worship. She tells everyone, “You don’t have to wait for your healing to worship—worship brings healing!”
Powerful Life-Changing Prayer:
Father God, I come before You today with a heart of worship. I lift my hands, not just to ask for healing but to praise You for who You are. You are Jehovah Rapha, my healer. You are holy and enthroned in the praises of Your people.
Lord, I invite Your presence into my life right now. I believe that as I worship You, chains are breaking, sickness is leaving, and Your power is working in me. I declare that Your presence is greater than any pain, disease, or struggle I face.
Holy Spirit, fill this place as I lift my voice in worship. Let my song rise as a declaration of faith that I am healed, whole, and restored. I choose to worship You, not just for what You can do, but because You deserve my praise. I trust in You, Lord, and I receive Your healing today.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
Action Step:
Take 10-20 minutes today to worship God. Play worship music, lift your hands, and sing—even if you don’t feel like it. Focus not on your sickness but on who God is. Let His presence fill the atmosphere, and expect healing to flow.
