Day Ten: The Power of Agreement in Healing
Scripture Reading: Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”
Devotional Thought:
One of the most powerful principles in the kingdom of God is the power of agreement. Jesus Himself promised that when two or more people stand together in faith, heaven moves on their behalf. Healing is one of the areas where this principle can bring miraculous breakthroughs.
God designed us for community, not isolation. The enemy often tries to keep us struggling alone, but the Bible makes it clear—there is supernatural power when believers unite in prayer. When we come together with someone else in agreement, we reinforce our faith, silence the lies of the enemy, and invite the miraculous intervention of God.
James 5:14-15 also emphasizes this:
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.”
If you are believing for healing today, don’t do it alone. Find someone who will stand in agreement with you. There is power when believers come together to declare God’s Word over a situation.
Testimony:
A woman named Sarah had suffered from severe arthritis for over a decade. The pain in her joints had become unbearable, making it difficult for her to walk or do daily tasks. She had prayed for healing many times, but she felt discouraged because she saw no change.
One day, she attended a small prayer meeting where the leader spoke about the power of agreement in prayer. Something stirred in her spirit. That evening, she approached an elder in the church and asked for prayer. The elder laid hands on her and, together, they stood in agreement according to Matthew 18:19 and James 5:14-15. They prayed with boldness, declaring healing in the name of Jesus.
At first, Sarah felt nothing different. But the next morning, she woke up with less pain than she had in years. She continued to pray with others over the next few weeks, standing in faith and thanking God for her healing. One morning, she got out of bed and realized that all the pain was completely gone! She wept with joy, knowing that God had honored His promise.
Sarah now travels to different churches, sharing her testimony and encouraging people never to pray alone. She tells everyone, “If you’re believing for healing, find someone who will stand in faith with you. There is power in agreement!”
Prayer:
Father God, I come before You with a heart full of faith, knowing that Your Word is true. Thank You for the promise that when we agree in prayer, You move on our behalf. Today, I stand on Matthew 18:19—I believe that as I pray in agreement with other believers, healing is released in Jesus’ name.
Lord, I take authority over every sickness, pain, and affliction in my body. I declare that by the stripes of Jesus, I am healed (Isaiah 53:5). I rebuke every attack of the enemy against my health and command it to leave in Jesus’ mighty name! No weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Holy Spirit, strengthen my faith. Remind me that I do not have to walk this journey alone. Lead me to people who will stand in agreement with me and give me boldness to reach out for prayer when I need it. Help me to also be someone who prays in faith for others, standing with them as they believe for their healing.
I declare today that healing is my covenant right, and I receive it now in the mighty name of Jesus! I praise You, Lord, because You are my healer, my restorer, and my strength. I stand in faith, knowing that my healing is done. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Action Step:
Find a trusted believer and ask them to pray with you for healing. Stand together in agreement, declaring God’s Word over your situation. If possible, attend a prayer meeting where believers are praying for healing and join in faith with them. We offer some amazing opportunities for this on Sunday (9 am & 11 am), Tuesday (7 pm – Healing Rooms) and Wednesday (7 pm).
